Pakistan Restores Original Speed Limits on Motorways and National Highways
Pakistan Restores Original Speed Limits on Motorways

The government has reversed its earlier decision to temporarily reduce speed limits on motorways and national highways, restoring the previous limits for all vehicle categories, a Motorway Police spokesperson confirmed.

Restored Speed Limits

The speed limit for cars and Light Transport Vehicles (LTVs) has been restored to 120 kilometers per hour. For Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) and Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) on motorways, the limit is back to 110 kilometers per hour. These changes apply across all sections of motorways and national highways where the temporary reduction had been in effect.

Reason for Reversal

While the spokesperson did not specify the exact reason for the reversal, the initial reduction was implemented as part of safety measures. The restoration suggests that the temporary measures are no longer deemed necessary.
