FAISALABAD: Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) chairman Allama Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has declared national unity the strongest defence against internal discord and external pressures. Addressing an Inter-Sect Harmony Seminar in Faisalabad on Sunday, Ashrafi said Pakistan had emerged stronger through the collective resolve of its people, armed forces and religious leadership.
Unity Against Discord
Ashrafi emphasized that national unity is the most effective shield against both internal conflicts and external threats. He urged all segments of society to remain united and avoid any actions that could weaken the country's solidarity.
Support for Kashmir
He reaffirmed unwavering support for the people of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and warned against attempts to fuel sectarian divisions and instability in Pakistan. Ashrafi described the Marka-e-Haq as the greatest victory of this century, highlighting its significance in the region.
The seminar was attended by religious scholars, community leaders, and representatives from various sects, who collectively pledged to promote harmony and reject divisive elements.
