National Unity Is Strongest Defense Against Internal Discord, External Pressures: Ashrafi
FAISALABAD - Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Allama Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, has declared that national unity serves as the strongest defense against both internal discord and external pressures. He emphasized that Pakistan has emerged stronger through the collective resolve of its people, armed forces, and religious leadership.
Addressing an Inter-Sect Harmony Seminar held here on Sunday, Ashrafi reaffirmed unwavering support for Kashmir and issued a warning against attempts to fuel sectarian divisions and instability within the country. He termed 'Maarka-e-Haq' as the greatest victory of this century, stating that the success reflects the unity and resilience of the Pakistani nation.
Ashrafi paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and national leadership, particularly Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for their role in safeguarding national interests and strengthening Pakistan's position during challenging circumstances. He also noted that Ewing Hall is to be restored as a heritage building.
