Probyn’s School System (PSS), Chakwal, and the National University of Technology (NUTECH), Islamabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday to strengthen digital education and technological learning in Pakistan. The partnership aims to bridge school-level education with higher education by combining NUTECH’s expertise in technology, engineering, and skill-based education with PSS’s modern educational infrastructure and commitment to holistic learning.
Collaborative Academic Framework
Under the agreement, both institutions will create a collaborative academic framework designed to prepare students for the challenges of an increasingly digital and technology-driven global economy. NUTECH will provide online academic courses, specialised certification programmes, and capacity-building workshops for students and faculty members of Probyn’s School System. The initiative will also promote project-based learning to encourage innovation, creativity, and practical problem-solving among students from an early stage of their academic careers.
Faculty Development and Research Activities
The partnership includes joint faculty development programmes to strengthen digital teaching methodologies, collaborative research activities, seminars, webinars, and participation in government and donor-supported educational initiatives aimed at advancing technology-based learning. Officials said the collaboration would enable students to benefit from university-level academic resources, professional mentorship, and internationally relevant technical certifications, enhancing their academic prospects and future employability.

Speaking on the occasion, a senior official of Probyn’s School System described the agreement as a transformational milestone for the institution. “This MoU with NUTECH represents a significant step forward in preparing our students for the future. By integrating advanced digital education and technological learning into our academic environment, we aim to equip young learners with the skills and knowledge required to excel in the 21st-century knowledge economy,” the official said.
A representative of NUTECH said the university was pleased to partner with Probyn’s School System to expand access to quality technical education. “This collaboration reflects NUTECH’s commitment to promoting innovation, strengthening digital competencies and developing a highly skilled workforce that can contribute to Pakistan’s socio-economic development,” the representative said.
Impact on Students and Education Ecosystem
Education experts believe the partnership will provide hundreds of students in Chakwal and surrounding areas with greater access to advanced educational resources, practical training opportunities, and industry-oriented learning experiences, helping bridge the gap between secondary education and higher technical education. The agreement also reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting academic excellence, innovation, lifelong learning and digital transformation, while contributing to the development of a modern, technology-enabled education ecosystem in Pakistan.
