PM Shehbaz orders expedited Danish Schools, tech campus in Muzaffarabad

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday directed authorities to expedite the completion of Danish Schools across Pakistan and announced the establishment of a technology (Tech) campus of Danish University in Muzaffarabad, describing these initiatives as a major investment in the country's future.

Review meeting on Danish Schools and University

Chairing a review meeting on the progress of Danish Schools and Danish University, the prime minister termed these institutions among the country's most important national assets. He directed authorities to ensure early completion of Danish Schools in all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad, according to a press release from the PM Office Media Wing.

Cultural heritage in architectural design

The prime minister also instructed that the architectural design of the schools should reflect the cultural heritage of their respective regions. The meeting was attended by Ministers Azam Nazeer Tarar, Ahsan Iqbal, Attaullah Tarar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, and senior officials of relevant departments.

Merit-based appointments emphasized

Emphasizing transparency, the prime minister said appointments of teaching faculty and other staff at both Danish Schools and Danish University must be made strictly on merit. He also commended the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training for the pace of construction work on Danish schools.

Progress update on 27 schools and Danish University

During the meeting, officials briefed the prime minister on the progress of 27 Danish schools under construction in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Islamabad, as well as the construction of Danish University in the federal capital.
