The Punjab government has intensified daily deep cleaning in all government hospitals across the province to protect patients' health. According to an official statement, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is being presented daily reports on the campaign, while digital monitoring is also under way.
Cleaning Protocols and Areas Covered
Thorough cleaning is carried out at the entrances, corridors, and all wards of tehsil, district, and other major hospitals. Special attention is being paid to the cleanliness of waiting areas and public washrooms. In operation theatres, professional daily cleaning is conducted to keep them infection-free. Doors and windows of the hospitals are also cleaned regularly, and floors are washed and cleaned with chemicals. Special cleaning measures are implemented in paediatric and gynaecology wards.
Chief Minister's Statement
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was quoted as stating that the government was concerned about the health of every citizen of Punjab, particularly children and women. She said the adoption of European-standard deep cleaning in hospitals was helping reduce the spread of infectious diseases.
Minister's Inspection at Services Hospital
Meanwhile, Punjab Specialised Healthcare Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited the lab of Services Hospital, where he expressed anger over the lack of cleanliness and proper functioning of the air conditioner. He ordered immediate maintenance work and directed relevant officials to ensure cleanliness in the lab. He also inquired about the quality of facilities from the patients. He said patients were being provided free, quality treatment facilities in government hospitals.
