The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues its critical work in Yemen, providing medical services to combat the spread of cholera. In late March, the Emergency Response Project for Cholera in Yemen, supported by KSrelief, delivered medical assistance to 5,909 beneficiaries.
Targeting High-Risk Areas
The project focuses on severely affected regions to reduce infection rates and limit the spread of cholera. Key measures include deploying medical teams at airports and border crossings, supplying health facilities with essential treatment supplies, and expanding the capacity of cholera treatment centers. One suspected case of cholera was recorded during this period.
Additional Humanitarian Efforts
Beyond Yemen, KSrelief recently distributed 400 food baskets to displaced persons, those in need, and individuals with disabilities in Mali. This initiative benefited 2,400 individuals, highlighting the center's commitment to providing relief and humanitarian assistance worldwide.
These efforts are part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's broader framework to support affected populations globally. Meanwhile, over the weekend, separatists in Mali launched their largest assault in nearly 15 years, targeting the junta and its Russian paramilitary backers.
