Pre-Flood Mock Exercise Conducted in Jaranwala

A comprehensive mock exercise was conducted by Punjab Emergency Services Rescue-1122, Faisalabad, in tehsil Jaranwala on Tuesday to prepare for a possible flood situation in the district. Teams from various departments, including tehsil administration, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence, Health Department, Livestock, and Rescue Volunteers, participated in the exercise.

Exercise Details and Briefing

According to a Rescue 1122 spokesperson, the large-scale pre-flood mock exercise was held at Gogera Branch Canal near tehsil Jaranwala to ensure effective and timely response to potential flooding. Tehsil Incharge Rescue Safety Officer Muhammad Shahid provided a detailed briefing on possible flood operations, available resources, rescue equipment, and emergency response procedures.

Practical Demonstrations

During the mock exercise, Rescue 1122 personnel successfully demonstrated the transportation of affected people to safe locations using boats. They also provided immediate first aid to the injured on the spot and transferred them to the hospital in a timely manner. Trained rescue swimmers and divers showcased their professional skills during the event.
