Three men have died after a fire destroyed a single-storey pavilion building in White City, west London. The blaze broke out shortly before 19:00 BST on Saturday on New Zealand Way, behind Shepherd's Church and White City Community Centre.
Emergency Response and Casualties
Firefighters rescued the men from the building, and the London Ambulance Service treated nine people at the scene. Two of the men were pronounced dead at the scene, while three others were taken to a major trauma centre. The third man later died in hospital, according to the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
Investigation and Statements
It remains unclear who occupied the building. London Fire Brigade Assistant Commissioner Pat Goulbourne said at the scene: "Sadly, three people have died following a fire on New Zealand Way, White City." The cause of the fire is under investigation.
