Body Handed Over to Family After Formalities

The body was later shifted to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) in Karora, where necessary medico-legal formalities were completed before it was handed over to the family.

Local Protest Over Inadequate Safety Measures

The incident triggered a protest by local residents, who alleged that inadequate safety measures at the Karora Hydropower Project had contributed to the tragedy. Protesters claimed the reservoir lacked sufficient protective fencing, safety barriers, and warning signs. They urged the project management and relevant government authorities to install appropriate safeguards to prevent similar incidents. They also called for immediate measures to improve public safety around the reservoir.
