CARE Pakistan convened senior government officials, private sector leaders, development partners, financial institutions, and civil society representatives at its flagship forum “Partners for Impact: Building Pakistan’s Future Together” in Islamabad, bringing renewed focus to climate resilience and women’s economic empowerment as national development priorities. Held on June 29, the high-level event, in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination (MoCC&EC), served as a platform for cross-sector dialogue aimed at accelerating collective action, innovation, and financing for vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
Urgency of Multi-Sector Collaboration
Opening the session, CARE Pakistan Country Director Adil Sheraz underscored the urgency of multi-sector collaboration, stating that Pakistan’s development challenges from climate vulnerability to economic inequality cannot be addressed in isolation. He stressed that sustainable progress depends on inclusive partnerships that place communities, particularly women, at the centre of climate action and economic growth.
World Bank Calls for Stronger Cooperation
Keynote speaker Gul Najam Jamy of the World Bank reinforced this message, calling for stronger cooperation between governments, businesses, civil society, and development partners to mobilize resources and expand inclusive economic opportunities.
