Religious Scholars Meet Iranian Consul in Karachi

A delegation of prominent religious scholars met Iran’s Consul General in Karachi, Akbar Eisa Zadeh, at the Iranian Consulate to offer condolences and express solidarity following the martyrdom of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei and offer Fateha. The delegation also renewed its commitment to the new leader of Iran, Ayatollah Syed Mojtaba Khamenei.

Consul General Highlights Pakistan-Iran Ties

Speaking on the occasion, Consul General Akbar Eisa Zadeh said that Pakistani citizens have actively organized rallies, seminars, and condolence references in support of Iran, reflecting the deep-rooted and historic ties between the two nations. Referring to the naval blockade imposed on Iran by the United States, Eisa Zadeh stated that its objective was to halt Iran’s imports and exports, particularly petroleum shipments. However, he claimed that despite these efforts, Iran’s exports have continued without major disruption over the past two months.

Appreciation for Pakistani Government

The Iranian envoy also appreciated the efforts of the Pakistani government in maintaining regional peace and emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral trade and economic relations. Highlighting the 900-kilometer shared border and the potential of both countries’ ports, he said there is significant scope to enhance economic cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
