Hussam Alangari, president of the Saudi General Court of Audit (GCA), chairman of the board of directors of the Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors (SAIA), and member of the board of directors of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), participated in the seventh meeting of the IIA board of directors during its 40th session held in Singapore.
Board Meeting Highlights
The board reviewed recent work, discussed agenda items, and approved decisions and recommendations to advance the internal auditing profession and strengthen its future development, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Bilateral Meeting with Singapore's Auditor General
On the sidelines of the meeting, Alangari met with Ng Wai Choong, Singapore’s Auditor General, to discuss enhancing cooperation in financial and performance auditing and promoting governance and transparency.

Alangari’s participation and engagements with international officials reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to advancing global auditing practices and strengthening its presence in international professional organizations, in support of governance, accountability, and transparency.
