KARACHI - Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Javed Alam Odho on Monday met a delegation of the Sindh Hindu Panchayat at the Central Police Office (CPO) Karachi to discuss issues affecting the Hindu community and other minority groups. The delegation was led by Mukhi Dr Suresh Kumar Talreja and included Dr Ramesh Kumar, among others.
Delegation Highlights Concerns
During the meeting, the delegation apprised the Sindh IGP of various issues and concerns faced by the Hindu community, particularly in the Kashmore district. They emphasized the need for enhanced security measures and better protection of life and property.
IGP Assurance on Safety
Speaking on the occasion, the IGP stated that the protection of life and property of minority communities remains among the top priorities of Sindh Police. He assured that all possible measures are being taken to address the concerns of the Hindu community and other minority groups, ensuring their safety and security.
Javed Alam Odho further noted that Sindh Police maintains continuous contact with minority communities to effectively address their issues and strengthen mutual trust. He reiterated the police department's commitment to fostering a safe environment for all citizens.
Appreciation and Mutual Cooperation
The delegation appreciated the measures taken by Sindh Police for the protection and welfare of minority communities. Matters relating to mutual cooperation, religious harmony, and the overall law and order situation were also discussed during the meeting.
Among those present were Mukhi Vinod, Mahesh Talreja, Ramesh Lal, and AIGP Operations. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to ongoing dialogue and collaborative efforts to ensure the well-being of minority communities across Sindh.
