A ceremony marking the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in Lahore, bringing together members of the overseas Chinese community, business leaders, diplomats, and representatives from various Chinese associations operating in Pakistan.

Speakers at the event emphasized the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the overseas Chinese community's contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation. They noted that CPEC has been a flagship project under China's Belt and Road Initiative, bringing tangible benefits to both nations.
Consul General Highlights CPEC Phase-II
The Consul General of China in Lahore, Sun Yan, highlighted the significance of CPEC, particularly its second phase. He stated that with the advancement of Phase-II, China's development experience would further contribute to Pakistan's economic growth and modernization.
"With the joint efforts of China and Pakistan, CPEC Phase-II will deliver even greater outcomes for the benefit of the people of both countries," Sun Yan said, expressing confidence that the strategic partnership would continue to grow stronger.
Overseas Chinese Community's Role
The overseas Chinese community in Pakistan was praised for its role in fostering people-to-people ties and supporting economic initiatives. Representatives from Chinese associations reiterated their commitment to enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
