Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Peace in Talks

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday held a telephonic conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to playing a constructive role in achieving lasting peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Iranian Appreciation for Pakistan's Peace Efforts

According to a post on X by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Araghchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan's continued support in advancing the peace process. He also thanked Pakistan for facilitating the safe and smooth repatriation of Iranian crew members and fishermen to their homeland.

Conversation with UK Foreign Secretary

Separately, Dar spoke with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on the same day. Cooper reiterated the UK's appreciation for Pakistan's sustained efforts for peace and stability in the region.
