Security Forces Vow to Eliminate Terrorism
Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry declared on Wednesday that Pakistan's security forces possess absolute clarity and unwavering resolve to hunt down terrorists across the country. Speaking at a media briefing in Rawalpindi, he addressed the recent surge in terrorist incidents in Balochistan province.
Casualties and Responsibility
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry stated that elements of Fitna al-Hindustan are deliberately targeting innocent civilians in Balochistan. He reported that at least 54 Khawarij (outlaws) were killed, while 48 individuals, including brave civilians and valiant personnel of the Balochistan Police, embraced martyrdom in the recent terrorist attacks. The ISPR chief emphasized that security forces continue operations to completely eliminate terrorists from the region.
Foreign Involvement and Afghan Sanctuaries
The Director General asserted that India and other enemies of Pakistan are behind these terrorist activities, as they cannot tolerate Pakistan's stability, prosperity, and honour. He specifically accused elements operating from Afghan territory, stating that terrorists are using areas under Afghan Taliban control as bases. According to Chaudhry, the Afghan Taliban are providing facilitation and manpower to these terrorist groups.
Repatriation of Illegal Afghans and Resolve
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry noted that these hostile elements are frustrated because they know all illegal Afghan nationals will be repatriated from Pakistan. He reaffirmed that such elements cannot deter Pakistan from its resolve to eradicate terrorism from its soil. The armed forces remain committed to taking on every terrorist and facilitator without any distinction.
