Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the UN Headquarters in New York, where they exchanged views on regional dynamics and international issues, according to a news release.

The discussions highlighted Pakistan's mediation efforts to end conflicts in West Asia and its longstanding contributions to UN peacekeeping operations. The UN Secretary-General appreciated Pakistan's role in promoting peace.
Pakistan's Responsible Stance
Interior Minister Naqvi stated that despite numerous challenges, Pakistan has acted responsibly under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to foster regional peace, stability, and safeguard human lives. He emphasized that realistic mandates and adequate resources are essential for the success of all UN peacekeeping missions.
