PM Shehbaz Sharif Vows to Eliminate Terrorism, 54 Killed

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government's firm commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan, stating that the state will persist with its operations until the last terrorist is neutralized. He made these remarks while chairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting in Quetta.

Recent Terrorist Attacks in Balochistan

Shehbaz Sharif addressed the recent wave of terrorist attacks in Balochistan that resulted in the deaths of security personnel and civilians. He emphasized that these attacks would not weaken the state's determination. The Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyrs and acknowledged the sacrifices of the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and innocent citizens in the fight against terrorism.

Security Forces Neutralize 54 Terrorists

The Prime Minister disclosed that security forces have neutralized 54 terrorists during recent operations. He affirmed that the campaign against terrorists would continue until the complete elimination of what he termed "Fitna al-Khawarij." Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the nation would soon lead to the complete defeat of terrorism.

Allegations of External Support for Terrorists

Shehbaz Sharif accused hostile elements, particularly Pakistan's eastern neighbor, of providing financial and military support to terrorist groups. He also noted that militants are launching attacks from Afghan territory. The Prime Minister stressed that the country's political and military leadership is united in its commitment to defeat terrorism.

Intensified Efforts Against Terrorist Groups

Announcing the outcome of the Apex Committee meeting, the Prime Minister said that, in consultation with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Government of Balochistan, it has been decided to intensify efforts against terrorist groups. All available resources will be employed to restore peace across the province and the country. Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that the sacrifices of the martyrs would pave the way for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, heads of law enforcement agencies, Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema and Attaullah Tarar, and Prime Minister's Adviser Rana Sanaullah.
