Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Vice President Sherry Rehman on Wednesday paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for their professionalism, courage and unwavering commitment following operations in Balochistan that resulted in the killing of 54 terrorists.
Successful Operations Reflect Resolve
In a statement, Senator Sherry Rehman said the successful operations reflected the resolve and capability of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies in confronting the country’s security challenges and safeguarding national peace and stability.
Tribute to Martyrs
She also paid tribute to the sacrifices of security personnel and civilians who lost their lives during the anti-terror operations, saying the martyrdom of 27 police officials, 11 Pakistan Army soldiers and four civilians had become a lasting symbol of courage and patriotism. She expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs and said their sacrifices would always be remembered with the highest honour.
Nation Stands with Security Forces
“The entire nation stands like an iron wall alongside its brave security forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism,” she said, adding that the country’s collective resolve remained essential to defeating extremist violence.
Determination to Continue Campaign
Sherry Rehman reiterated that Pakistan’s campaign against terrorism would continue with determination and perseverance until militant networks were dismantled, stressing that every conspiracy aimed at undermining the country’s peace, stability and national security would be defeated through national unity and resilience.
She said the sacrifices rendered by the country’s security personnel and civilians reinforced Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining peace and protecting its citizens from the threat of terrorism.
