Commissioner Faisalabad Musarrat Jabeen chaired a high-level meeting to review arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram and expressed satisfaction over the preparations made across the division. The meeting was informed that 1,528 processions and 4,402 majalis will be held in the four districts of Faisalabad Division. In Faisalabad district alone, 443 processions and 1,281 majalis are scheduled, including 36 Category-A processions and 55 Category-A majalis.
Security Measures
Officials said CCTV cameras installed along procession routes would be linked to the central control room and the Safe City Command and Control System for real-time monitoring. Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen directed all departments to complete preparations according to the approved checklist and ensure road repairs, proper lighting, uninterrupted power supply and effective drainage arrangements. She also stressed close coordination with peace committees and religious scholars and directed strict enforcement of security measures to maintain law and order during Muharram.
Personnel Changes
In related news, the CCD Faisalabad officer was transferred, and SP Malik Tariq has been posted to Lahore. These changes are part of administrative adjustments to strengthen security arrangements.
