Lahore CCPO Orders Intensified Crackdown on Criminals

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana on Thursday directed police to intensify the crackdown on electricity thieves, proclaimed offenders and street criminals, while appreciating the force for maintaining effective security arrangements during Ashura-e-Muharram.

High-Level Performance Review Meeting

Chairing a high-level performance review meeting of the Civil Lines and City divisions at his office, the CCPO lauded officers and personnel for ensuring peaceful observance of Ashura and instructed the SSP (Operations) to step up efforts against social evils and street crime.

Campaign Against Electricity Theft

He directed police to accelerate the ongoing campaign against electricity theft in close coordination with the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) and ensure that all cases of power theft are taken to their logical conclusion without delay.

Focus on Proclaimed Offenders

Bilal Siddique Kamyana also ordered an intensified crackdown on proclaimed offenders and hardened criminals involved in heinous offences, stressing that preventive policing should remain a top priority to make Lahore a safer city.

Security at Commercial Centres

He instructed officers to strengthen security at commercial and business centres to enhance the sense of safety among traders and citizens.

Victim Relief and Complaint Management

The CCPO also directed police to ensure prompt relief to victims of financial crimes and dispose of complaints received through the Complaint Management System within the prescribed timeframe.

Coordinated Policing

Emphasising coordinated policing, he said all wings of Lahore Police should work together to curb crime effectively.

Professional Conduct at Police Stations

He further instructed officers to treat complainants and visitors to police stations with courtesy and professionalism, saying timely delivery of justice and respectful public dealing were hallmarks of an efficient police force.

Meeting Attendees

The meeting was attended by DIG (Administration) Imran Kishwar, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (Operations) Touqeer Muhammad Naeem, along with SPs, ASPs, circle officers, SHOs and investigation in-charges of the Civil Lines and City divisions.
