Sindh Provincial Minister for Home Affairs Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar conducted an aerial survey of security arrangements for 9th Muharram processions in Sukkur on Thursday. The minister directed police and administrative officers to ensure foolproof security measures for the protection of mourners at all costs.

Minister's Directives for Enhanced Security

Lanjar emphasized that monitoring, search operations, and snap checking along procession routes must be made more effective. He stated, “No negligence of any kind will be tolerated.” The minister also instructed all law enforcement agencies to perform their duties in complete coordination to maintain law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Emergency Response and Coordination

He further stressed ensuring an immediate response to handle any emergency situation. The aerial survey allowed the minister to assess the ground-level security posture and identify potential vulnerabilities. This proactive measure aims to prevent any untoward incident during the sacred month.
