In a series of targeted operations, Larkana District Police have achieved significant successes, apprehending criminals involved in theft, a violent attack, and drug trafficking. The actions, coordinated under the leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ahmed Choudhry QPM, PSP, demonstrate a continued crackdown on crime in the region.
Arrests in Shop Theft Case and Commendation for Police
Police from the Badah police station conducted a successful operation resulting in the arrest of two individuals, Taimoor Dahot and Farhan Dahot. The accused were involved in a theft from the shop of citizen Saeed Ahmed that occurred last Friday. From the arrested men, police recovered cash worth Rs20,000, along with stolen tea boxes, cooking oil, and cigarettes. Legal proceedings and further interrogation are currently underway.
In recognition of this effective police work, SSP Ahmed Choudhry issued formal messages of commendation for the relevant Station House Officer (SHO) of Badah Police Station, Sub-Inspector Akhtar Ali Baloch.
Proclaimed Offender in Journalist Attack Case Apprehended
In a separate but equally critical achievement, police arrested a proclaimed offender wanted in a case concerning an attack on the house of a journalist. The arrest was made from within the limits of the Kamber Road Police Station.
The arrested individual has been identified as Saleem alias Abdul Jabbar, son of Akhtar alias Roshan Chandio, a resident of Jawabpur. He was wanted in connection with an attack case targeting the house of journalist Asgar Thaheem from Shikarpur district. Police are conducting further interrogation and legal procedures.
Major Drug Supply Attempt Foiled in Warish Dinu Machhi Limits
On the front of narcotics control, police thwarted an attempt to supply drugs within the jurisdiction of the Warish Dinu Machhi police station. During this operation, law enforcement officials arrested a drug dealer identified as Waseem Solangi from the Vasayo Road area.
A substantial quantity of narcotics was seized from his possession, amounting to approximately three kilogrammes (2,950 grams) of hashish (charas). Authorities are now interrogating the arrested accused to uncover details about his buyers and local dealer network. SSP Larkana Ahmed Choudhry also commended the police team responsible for this significant drug bust.
Police Action on Dacoity Incident and Pursuit of Accused
Regarding another serious crime, a dacoity incident involving recruits within the limits of the Ratodero police station, SSP Larkana Ahmed Choudhry has taken direct notice. He contacted the SHO Ratodero and demanded a detailed report on the incident and the police response.
According to the initial report submitted, a police team rushed to the crime scene immediately after receiving information. A heavy police contingent is now actively pursuing the accused involved in the dacoity. The police are utilizing all available resources, including clues, human intelligence, and modern technical systems, to track down the perpetrators. Authorities have affirmed that elements disrupting peace and order will soon be brought to justice.
These coordinated efforts across multiple police stations in Larkana underscore a determined campaign against various forms of criminal activity, from petty theft and violent crime to the narcotics trade, aiming to enhance public safety and security.
