Muzaffargarh Meeting Oversees Population Welfare Asset Transfer

A special technical committee meeting was held in Muzaffargarh under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Yousaf Chhina to oversee the transfer of all assets from the Population Welfare Department to the Health Department. The committee was formed on the directives of the Section Officer (Admin) following the restructuring of the Health and Population Welfare Department.

Comprehensive Asset Review

According to Information Officer Abdul Qadir, the meeting conducted a thorough review of the transfer process covering IT equipment, furniture, machinery, official vehicles, and other government property. Relevant departmental officers attended the session to discuss the procedural details.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Chhina directed that a complete inventory of all assets be prepared in accordance with the lists provided by the Population Welfare Department at the tehsil level. He instructed all Deputy District Health Officers (Deputy DHOs) to ensure physical verification of every asset listed before finalizing the transfer.

Supervision and Handover

Chhina stated that he would personally supervise the physical verification process to ensure accurate verification, transparent record-keeping, and lawful transfer of all government assets as per prescribed rules and regulations. He further directed that after verification and inventory preparation by Deputy DHOs, all assets should be formally handed over to the Chief Executive Officer (Health) to ensure protection, transparent management, and effective utilization of government property.

Sanitation Review Under Suthra Punjab Programme

Later, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Yousaf Chhina also chaired a meeting on sanitation arrangements under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's 'Suthra Punjab Programme.' The meeting reviewed the performance of waste management operations and discussed measures to improve cleanliness standards in both urban and rural areas.

Concerned officers were directed to make sanitation operations more efficient, timely, and sustainable to ensure a cleaner environment across the district.
