A man was killed and four others, including women and a child, were injured in a violent clash between two families in the Managi area of Swabi district on Sunday, police said.

According to police officials, the confrontation reportedly began after a domestic disagreement involving female members of the families and later escalated into a violent altercation. The dispute allegedly led to an exchange of gunfire, while sticks and batons were also used during the clash.
Victims and Injuries
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hassan Khan said Akbar, son of Liaqat Ustad, sustained a fatal gunshot wound and died at the scene. The injured, including Liaqat Ustad and a young girl, were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said the identities and medical condition of the remaining injured persons were being verified.
Police Response
Law enforcement personnel rushed to the area after receiving information about the incident, secured the scene and collected evidence for further investigation. DSP Hassan Khan said preliminary inquiries indicated that the violence stemmed from a family dispute, although investigators were examining all aspects of the case before reaching any final conclusions.
Police have launched a search operation to identify and apprehend those involved in the fatal confrontation, while further investigation is under way.
