A 12-year-old boy who had been missing for two weeks was recovered by police in Karachi on Friday, bringing relief to his family. The child, identified as Ahmed, went missing from the Gulshan-e-Maymar area on March 1. Police launched a search operation and tracked him down to a house in the Orangi Town area, where he was being held.

Suspect Arrested in Connection with Abduction

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Irfan Bahadur, a suspect named Asif was arrested from the scene. The suspect allegedly lured the boy with promises of a job and then confined him. The police recovered the child unharmed and handed him over to his parents after completing legal formalities.

Community Relief and Police Action

The recovery has been met with relief from the local community, who had been assisting the family in the search. The SSP stated that a case has been registered under the anti-kidnapping laws and further investigation is underway to determine if the suspect had any accomplices.
