Security Forces Neutralize 11 Indian-Proxy Terrorists in K-P Operations
11 TTP-Linked Terrorists Killed in North Waziristan, Kurram

In a significant blow to terrorism, Pakistani security forces successfully eliminated eleven terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in two separate, precise operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) on Saturday, stating the terrorists were acting as proxies for Indian interests.

Details of the Counter-Terrorism Operations

The first operation was conducted in the North Waziristan district. Acting on confirmed intelligence, security forces engaged a terrorist hideout. After a fierce exchange of fire, six terrorists were killed on the spot. In a second, joint operation conducted by police and security forces in the Kurram district, another five terrorists were neutralized in a similar engagement.

The ISPR identified the eliminated individuals as members of Fitna al-Khwarij, a term used for TTP militants. According to the military's media wing, these Indian-sponsored elements were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the targeted killing of innocent civilians. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.

Leadership Commends Forces, Vows to Continue Fight

The successful operations drew immediate and strong commendation from the country's top leadership. President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated the nation's resolve to continue efforts until the complete eradication of the Fitna al-Khwarij menace. He praised the role of security forces and law enforcement agencies in protecting the lives and property of citizens.

In a separate statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the professional capabilities and bravery of the security personnel. He reaffirmed the government's unwavering resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until its complete eradication from Pakistan. The Prime Minister stated that with such brave soldiers, the enemy does not dare to cast an evil eye on the country, and the entire nation stands united with its forces.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi also lauded the professionalism and coordinated efforts of the security forces and police. He emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy would be strictly enforced against all anti-state elements and that all departments would work together to ensure lasting peace in the province.

Ongoing Campaign Under Azm-e-Istehkam

The ISPR statement clarified that these operations are part of the relentless counter-terrorism campaign being conducted under the vision of 'Azm-e-Istehkam', as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. The campaign aims to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan at full pace.

Following the engagements, sanitization operations are being carried out in the areas to eliminate any other terrorists who might be hiding. The successful IBOs mark a critical step in securing the region and disrupting terrorist networks operating with external support.
