PML-N leader and former federal minister Rana Sanaullah Tarar has strongly criticized the governance situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), stating that it has reached its lowest ebb. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Tarar expressed grave concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation and the overall administrative performance of the provincial government.
Governance Crisis
Tarar highlighted that the KP government, led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has failed to deliver on its promises. He pointed out that the province is facing numerous challenges, including rising crime rates, economic instability, and a lack of basic amenities for the public. The former minister accused the provincial administration of negligence and incompetence.
Law and Order Deterioration
Referring to recent incidents of violence and insecurity, Tarar said that the law and order situation in KP has worsened significantly. He claimed that the provincial government has lost its writ and that terrorists and criminals are operating with impunity. He demanded immediate steps to restore peace and protect the lives and property of citizens.
Call for Reforms
Tarar called for urgent administrative reforms to address the governance deficit. He emphasized the need for transparent and accountable governance, efficient service delivery, and a robust mechanism to tackle corruption. He also urged the federal government to play a proactive role in assisting KP to overcome its challenges.
Political Response
The PTI-led KP government has yet to respond to Tarar's allegations. However, political analysts believe that such criticism from a senior PML-N leader indicates growing tensions between the two major political parties.
