The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called up 49 players for pre-season training camps at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore. The camps, divided into red-ball and white-ball formats, aim to prepare players for upcoming international assignments and domestic competitions.

Red-Ball Camp Details

The red-ball camp will run from June 8 to July 10, featuring 22 players. Cricketers who participated in the recent ODI series against Australia and have also been selected for the red-ball camp will join the program from June 15. The camp focuses on enhancing technical skills, fitness, and readiness for international cricket.

White-Ball Camp Schedule

The white-ball camp, involving 27 players, will commence on June 15 and continue until September 18. Participants will work closely with national and NCA coaching staff, while the PCB's medical team oversees fitness and conditioning programs. Individual sessions are designed to help players understand the technical, tactical, and physical demands of international cricket.

Key Players Selected

Prominent players in the red-ball camp include Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Abbas. The white-ball camp features leading stars such as Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Naseem Shah, and Sahibzada Farhan.

The PCB stated that these camps are part of a structured approach to ensure players are well-prepared for the challenges ahead. The training will also include individual sessions aimed at improving technical, tactical, and physical aspects of the game.
