Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions Cricket League (KCL) ahead of the tournament's official launch later this month. The league's opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at Peshawar Cricket Stadium on July 18 at 6 pm, officially marking the start of the provincial cricket competition.
Afridi Invites Cricket Enthusiasts
Afridi has invited cricket enthusiasts, especially residents of Peshawar, to attend the event with their families, encourage young talent and support the new cricket league. Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan, who is serving as the league commissioner, will also participate in the ceremony along with several current and former international cricketers.
Tournament Schedule and Talent Hunt
Organisers said the tournament schedule, province-wide talent hunt trials and other key initiatives will be announced during the launch event. To encourage public participation, the KCL management has arranged free entry tickets and special facilities for families attending the ceremony.
