Passing Out Parade for 153rd PMA Long Course and Other Batches Held at Kakul
The Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul hosted a significant passing out parade on Saturday, marking the graduation of cadets from several key courses. The ceremony included the 153rd PMA Long Course, the 38th Technical Graduate Course, the 72nd Integrated Course, the 15th Mujahid Course, and the 27th Lady Cadet Course. This event underscores the academy's role in training future military leaders for Pakistan and allied nations.
International Participation and Chief Guest
According to a news release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the graduation featured cadets from multiple friendly countries, highlighting Pakistan's commitment to international military cooperation. Cadets from Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, and Sri Lanka successfully completed their training at the Pakistan Military Academy, fostering stronger diplomatic and defense ties.
The ceremony was graced by Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, who served as the Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer. His presence added prestige to the occasion, reflecting the high standards of the academy and the importance of inter-service collaboration in Pakistan's armed forces.
Awards and Honors for Distinguished Cadets
During the parade, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu reviewed the cadets and presented awards to those who excelled in their training. The following cadets were recognized for their outstanding performance:
- Sword of Honour: Awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Bilal Nasim of the 153rd PMA Long Course.
- President’s Gold Medal: Presented to Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Saad Musa of the 153rd PMA Long Course.
- Chief of Defence Forces Overseas Gold Medal: Given to Friendly Country Senior Under Officer Pobin Kunwar from Nepal of the 153rd PMA Long Course.
- Marksman Medal: Awarded to Gentleman Cadet Masood Ur Rehman of the 153rd PMA Long Course.
- Chief of Army Staff Cane: Presented to Course Under Officer Haider Bin Abid of the 38th Technical Graduate Course.
In addition, other notable awards included the Chief of Army Staff Cane for Sergeant Pir Muhammad Abdullah Shah of the 15th Mujahid Course, and Commandant’s Canes for Course Under Officer Ali Bin Waqar of the 72nd Integrated Course and Course Under Officer Walia Zeb of the 27th Lady Cadet Course.
