Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis has officially received a release date and pre-order details following its latest appearance during PlayStation's State of Play presentation on June 3, 2026. The upcoming title is a reimagining of the original Tomb Raider adventure, continuing Lara Croft's search for the secrets of the legendary city of Atlantis.
Announcement and Development
First announced during The Game Awards 2025, the game revisits one of the franchise's most recognizable stories while introducing updated gameplay mechanics and modern visuals. Developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis aims to stay faithful to the original experience while expanding elements of the narrative and gameplay. The project has been described by its developers as the "definitive version" of the adventure, offering players an opportunity to "relive the adventure that started it all with a fresh perspective and new surprises."
Gameplay Features
The latest trailer showcased several returning features from the original game, including environmental puzzles, platforming challenges, and encounters with iconic enemies. Players will once again guide Lara through dangerous locations using her athletic abilities, climbing skills, and grappling hook to navigate hazardous terrain. Combat also returns with Lara's signature dual pistols alongside additional unlockable weapons. The game will feature battles against human mercenaries as well as mythological creatures connected to the Atlantis storyline. Footage also highlighted the return of the franchise's famous Tyrannosaurus rex encounter, recreated with updated visuals and mechanics.
Pre-Order and Editions
Pre-orders are now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Players can choose between a Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Collector's Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes 48-hour early access, a bonus outfit, and a post-launch story expansion, while the Collector's Edition adds physical items including a Lara Croft versus T-Rex statue, art book, steel case, and themed collectibles.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled to launch on February 12, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
