Dr Imran Batada Named PAFLA President and CEO

The Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA) has announced the appointment of Dr Imran Batada as its new President and Chief Executive Officer. As a national-level platform, PAFLA is dedicated to the facilitation, empowerment, and welfare of freelancers and digital workers across Pakistan.

Strategic Vision for Freelancers

In his new role, Dr Batada will continue to contribute to the organization's strategic direction by strengthening national and international partnerships, guiding freelancer enablement programs, and supporting PAFLA's vision of becoming a globally recognized platform for Pakistani freelancers.

Chairman of PAFLA, Amin Ibrahim, highlighted the exceptional contributions of Pakistani freelancers to the economy in recent years. Despite challenges such as electricity loadshedding and slow internet, freelancers have brought valuable foreign exchange into the country. He emphasized that given Pakistan's large youth population and rising unemployment, it is crucial to equip the younger generation with emerging in-demand and soft skills to increase the participation of Pakistani digital workers in the global labor market.
