Police have arrested two individuals for allegedly opening fire at a house in Karachi's Orangi Town area. The incident occurred late Wednesday night, according to a police spokesperson.
Details of the Incident
The suspects, identified as Imran and Naveed, were taken into custody during a raid conducted by the Orangi Town police. The firing incident took place at a residence in Sector 11 1/2, and no casualties were reported. The motive behind the attack is currently under investigation.
Police Action
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Orangi Town, Irfan Baloch, stated that the police acted promptly on a tip-off and apprehended the suspects within hours of the incident. He added that the accused have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
“We are investigating the matter thoroughly. The suspects will be presented in court to obtain their physical remand,” SSP Baloch said.
Community Concerns
Residents of the area expressed fear and demanded increased police patrolling. Local elder Muhammad Ali said, “Such incidents create panic in the neighborhood. We urge the authorities to ensure our safety.”
Police have assured the public that strict action will be taken against those involved in criminal activities. Further investigations are ongoing.
