The Faisalabad divisional administration has introduced anti-smog guns along Muharram procession routes to spray water, aiming to reduce heat intensity and improve air quality for mourners. Divisional Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen stated that this first-of-its-kind initiative is part of comprehensive arrangements for the holy month across all four districts of the division.
Deployment and Operation of Anti-Smog Guns
Two anti-smog guns have been deployed in the division and are being used intermittently to spray water along procession routes. Commissioner Jabeen explained that the measure was taken in response to the prevailing hot weather to provide maximum relief and comfort to participants. The water spraying system also helps reduce dust and improve environmental conditions along the routes.
Additional Arrangements for Mourners
Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir said comprehensive measures have been taken to facilitate participants of mourning processions and majalis across the district. Special attention is being given to cleanliness and sanitation along procession routes, while adequate lighting arrangements have also been ensured to enhance safety and comfort during evening events.
The initiative reflects the administration's commitment to innovative solutions for public welfare during religious observances.
