Hub City Needs Green Bus Service for Affordable Transport
Hub City Urgently Requires Green Bus Service

The Government of Balochistan demonstrated that change is possible by introducing the Green People’s Bus Service in Quetta and Turbat, providing affordable, safe and comfortable transport. Hub City’s workforce deserves the same facility.

Current Transport Crisis in Hub City

Hub City is Balochistan’s largest industrial hub and a major contributor to both the provincial and national economy. Yet beneath its economic importance lies a serious civic failure: the absence of an efficient public transport system. With inflation soaring, residents can no longer afford the excessive fares charged by private transport operators.

Many commuters rely on motorcycles or company vans while navigating hundreds of heavy trucks and tankers on the congested Hub-Karachi route. The hardship is evident in the experience of a teacher who travels daily from Gadani to Hub. Owing to the lack of reliable transport, he is frequently stranded after work and forced to depend on colleagues for a lift home. His experience reflects the struggles of thousands of workers and students.

Call for Action

Public transport is a necessity, not a luxury. I urge the authorities to introduce a structured green bus service in Hub and provide citizens with the safe and affordable mobility they deserve. SHAHQUE, Mashkay.
