Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, conducted an unannounced inspection of the Excise Police Station in the merged tribal district of Khyber. During the visit, he assessed the station's administrative operations, public service mechanisms, and anti-narcotics measures.
Detailed Briefing and Inspection
The minister received a comprehensive briefing on official records, ongoing administrative activities, attendance of deployed personnel, and the overall performance of the police station. He also inspected various sections, including the malkhana (storehouse for seized items).
Directives for Public Service
Fakhar Jehan directed officials to ensure timely, dignified, and maximum facilitation for the public at all government offices. He emphasized that transparency, merit, integrity, and the rule of law must guide the delivery of public services.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Narcotics
The minister reiterated the provincial government's zero-tolerance policy against narcotics. He warned that any negligence, dereliction of duty, or irresponsibility in this regard would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He instructed staff to perform their duties with dedication, professionalism, and honesty to strengthen public trust through efficient service delivery.
Commitment to Law Enforcement
Fakhar Jehan stated that all available resources would be utilized to ensure effective law enforcement, improve public service delivery, and eliminate the menace of narcotics. He added that the performance of officials would remain under continuous monitoring.
