Muzaffargarh Crackdown on Leather Traders

In response to complaints and appeals from residents of Mazhar Market and its surrounding areas, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Lang, under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kot Addu Barrister Bilal Saleem, carried out a major crackdown against leather traders operating in the area. During the operation, several shops were penalized with heavy fines, while a number of premises were sealed for violating regulations and creating environmental concerns for nearby residents.

The Assistant Commissioner issued directives requiring the shop owners to completely vacate the premises within two days. He warned that failure to comply with the orders would result in the demolition of the structures in accordance with the law. Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Lang stated that providing citizens with a healthy and clean environment remains the administration’s top priority. He added that strict action would continue against activities causing environmental pollution and public inconvenience.
