MUZAFFARGARH - Aligned with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to ensure safe drinking water, improved sanitation, and hygiene facilities, a meeting of the District WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Coordination Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muzaffargarh, Hafiz Usman Tahir Jappa. The meeting conducted a detailed review of ongoing activities and development projects being implemented across the district under the WASH Program.

Addressing participants, Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Jappa stated that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is taking special initiatives to improve access to clean drinking water and sanitation services for the public. He emphasized that the district administration is ensuring effective implementation of these directives. He stressed that all relevant departments must work in close coordination to safeguard public health and deliver essential services efficiently.
The meeting was attended by officers from various government departments and representatives of relevant organizations. Deputy Director Development Anam Hafeez provided a comprehensive briefing on the ongoing WASH programs, targets, achievements, and overall progress across the district.

Participants reviewed measures related to the provision of safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, public hygiene awareness, and other key initiatives aimed at improving community health and living standards.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to ensure the timely completion of WASH-related projects and stressed that no negligence should be tolerated in providing basic public services. He reiterated that a clean and healthy environment remains a top priority of the Punjab Government and called upon all institutions to continue their collaborative efforts toward achieving this objective.
