Pakistan and China signed multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in Beijing on Tuesday, aiming to deepen collaboration in agricultural sciences, technical education, vocational training, and youth development. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme of Pakistan, during his engagements with Chinese education and technology institutions, as reported by Gwadar Pro.
Framework for Joint Initiatives
The MoUs establish a framework for joint training and research centers, curriculum development, vocational education, skills training, technology transfer, innovation cooperation, and student exchange programs. These initiatives are linked to understandings reached during Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s recent visit to China, which coincided with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Seminar at China Agricultural University
As part of the visit, Rana Mashhood attended a seminar at China Agricultural University in Beijing, where participants discussed cooperation in higher education, agricultural sciences, vocational training, and youth development. The discussions covered technology transfer, joint research, student mobility, and institutional partnerships.
Official Statement
“The newly signed agreements will support knowledge exchange, institutional cooperation, and capacity building for young people in both countries,” Rana Mashhood said. He emphasized that the partnerships would create new opportunities for Pakistani youth to benefit from Chinese expertise in agriculture and technical fields.
