Pakistan to Modernize Vocational Training for Disabled

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) have reached an agreement to modernize vocational training for persons with disabilities at the National Training Centre for Special Persons (NTCSP) in Islamabad.

Key Decisions and Reforms

The agreement includes fast-track registration of NTCSP with NAVTTC, training of instructors through refresher programs, and updating curricula to make them more market-relevant and inclusive. NAVTTC will also help upgrade training labs with modern equipment and improve certification standards.

Career Counseling and Job Placement

Both sides plan to strengthen career counseling and job placement services through industry linkages to improve employment opportunities for trainees. The Federal Secretary emphasized better coordination and timely implementation of reforms.
