The Punjab Sports Department has announced the recruitment of new Tehsil Sports Officers (TSOs) through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). This initiative aims to strengthen sports administration and promote grassroots development across the province.
Secretary Announcement
Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab, Fazlur Rehman, made the announcement while chairing a meeting at Punjab Stadium on Tuesday. He stated that qualified coaches would also be recruited throughout Punjab to improve training facilities and enhance the development of athletes in various disciplines. Emphasising the importance of coaching, Fazlur Rehman noted that coaches play a pivotal role in identifying talent and raising the standard of sports performance.
Ground Staff Recruitment
The secretary further revealed that ground staff would be appointed at sports complexes and stadiums across the province to ensure better maintenance, management, and utilisation of sports facilities.
Upcoming Events
Fazlur Rehman also announced that several major sporting events, including the CM Punjab Schools Games, would be organised in the coming months to identify and nurture emerging talent from across Punjab.
