Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a meeting with France's Interministerial Delegate for Strategic Minerals and Metals Supplies Benjamin Gallezot to discuss enhancing the strategic partnership between the two nations in the mining and minerals sector.

Both sides reaffirmed the strength of bilateral relations and explored opportunities for collaboration in mineral exploration, mining investment, and the localization of mineral industries. They also deliberated on leveraging advanced technologies and innovative solutions to improve sector efficiency and promote sustainability.

The discussions emphasized the importance of integrating value chains for strategic minerals. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Critical Minerals Forum, organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Istanbul on April 28 and 29.
The forum brought together government and industry leaders, as well as international organizations, to address challenges and opportunities related to critical minerals supply chains. Key topics included ensuring stable supply, fostering investment, and adopting sustainable practices.
