Woman and Rickshaw Driver Held in Karachi Drug Bust

KARACHI: Keamari Police have dismantled an inter-provincial drug supply network with the arrest of a woman and a rickshaw driver allegedly involved in transporting narcotics from Balochistan to Karachi. According to a police spokesperson, the arrests were made by Mochko Police at the Mochko Check Post following a tip-off regarding the movement of narcotics.

Suspects Identified

The suspects have been identified as Sakina, wife of Abdul Samad, and rickshaw driver Ameer Ali, son of Abdul Rahim. They were intercepted after arriving in Karachi from Hub, Balochistan. Police said a search of the rickshaw led to the recovery of 14 kilograms of hashish worth millions of rupees in the illicit market.

Intended Distribution

The spokesperson stated that the seized narcotics were intended for distribution in different parts of Karachi. A case has been registered against the suspects, and further investigation is underway to trace other individuals linked to the network.
