LuLu Group has officially launched its new SWFT convenience store format in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant step in the Kingdom's evolving retail landscape. The stores are strategically located at high-traffic destinations, including metro stations, fuel stations, airports, and other busy locations, offering a fast and seamless shopping experience.
Virtual Inauguration and Initial Outlets
The first four SWFT stores were inaugurated virtually by Yusuffali M. A., the chairman of LuLu Group. The initial outlets include two metro station stores at Al-Rabi and Al-Khurais in Riyadh, a flagship store at Aramco Al-Ruwaid, and an outlet at the ADNOC fuel station in Al-Ahsa, Eastern Province. These locations are designed to cater to the needs of busy commuters and urban dwellers.
Product Range and Target Audience
SWFT by LuLu offers a curated selection of daily essentials, fresh food, ready-to-eat meals, snacks, bakery items, and beverages. The format is tailored for modern urban lifestyles, providing quick and convenient access to high-quality products. According to Ali, the group's CEO, the new format aims to bring speed, convenience, and quality closer to customers.
Expansion Plans Across the GCC
Saudi Arabia is the first market for the SWFT concept, with plans to roll it out across other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the near future. LuLu Group has set an ambitious target of opening 100 SWFT stores across Saudi Arabia by 2030, further strengthening its presence in the Kingdom's growing convenience retail sector. The expansion reflects the group's commitment to innovation and customer-centric retail solutions.
