ISLAMABAD - The domestic gold market witnessed a notable uptick in prices on Tuesday, as per the latest data from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs2,830, closing at Rs455,063 compared to the previous day's Rs452,233.
Gold and Silver Rates Rise
Similarly, the cost of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,547 to Rs389,534, up from Rs386,987. For 22-karat gold, 10 grams rose by Rs2,306 to Rs357,225, against Rs354,919 earlier. Internationally, gold prices climbed by $28.295 per ounce, reaching $4,326.270 from $4,297.975.
Silver also advanced, with per tola rates increasing by Rs141 to Rs7,314, while 10 grams of silver went up by Rs129 to Rs6,245. In global markets, silver rose by $1.411 per ounce to $68.352, compared to $66.941 previously.

In other news, PML-N leader Saad Rafique has dismissed claims of a rout for his party in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, asserting that the party remains strong and committed to its political goals.
