Karachi Gets Relief from Heat with Sea Breeze and Drizzle

Karachi residents received respite from the recent heat as sea breeze and increased cloud cover lowered temperatures, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasting light drizzle and partly cloudy skies over the next three days.

PMD Forecast Details

According to the PMD's Early Warning Centre, the city is expected to experience humid conditions with intermittent cloud cover and a possibility of light drizzle during the night. Strong winds are also likely to blow at intervals throughout the forecast period.

The department said maximum daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 34°C and 36°C in the coming days.

Weather Patterns Driving the Change

The prevailing weather pattern is being driven by moisture-laden winds from the Arabian Sea moving into the upper and central parts of the country, along with a western weather system influencing northern regions.

Weather in Other Parts of Sindh

Elsewhere in Sindh, hot and humid weather is expected to continue across most districts. The PMD also predicted isolated dust storms, gusty winds and light rain with thunderstorms in Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, Larkana, Sukkur, Dadu and Jamshoro later on Thursday.
