ISLAMABAD - The prices of gold recorded a notable surge in the local market on Friday, as per the data issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The price of 24 karat gold per tola increased by Rs7,250, settling at Rs439,966, compared to Rs432,716 on the previous trading day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold rose by Rs6,525 to Rs375,947, up from Rs369,422. In the same vein, 10 grams of 22 karat gold went up by Rs5,925, reaching Rs344,923 against the previous Rs338,998.
International Gold Market
On the international front, the price of gold increased by $72.50, reaching $4,175.30 per ounce, up from $4,102.80.
Silver Rates
Meanwhile, silver prices also climbed. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs190 to Rs7,079, compared to Rs6,889. The rate of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs171 to Rs6,028 from Rs5,857. Internationally, silver prices rose by $1.90 to $66.00 per ounce, up from $64.10.
