The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) is gearing up to launch a vibrant celebration of culinary heritage with the three-day Pindi Food Fest. The event is scheduled to run from December 12 to 14 at the popular Ayub National Park in Rawalpindi.
A Platform for Business and Flavor
This annual festival serves a multi-layered purpose. It aims to honor traditional and regional Pakistani cuisine while also introducing innovative new flavors to the public. Beyond the food, the event is strategically designed to create significant networking and branding opportunities, particularly for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), startups, and women entrepreneurs operating in the food sector.
RCCI President Usman Shaukat outlined the core mission of the festival. He emphasized the promotion of local culinary traditions, the support of SMEs, and the specific empowerment of women-led food businesses. The festival will feature more than 70 food stalls, offering a wide array of tastes and cuisines.
Focused Support for Women Entrepreneurs
President Shaukat highlighted that the initiative provides a crucial platform for women entrepreneurs to launch and grow their brands while building valuable industry connections. He expressed a hope that the festival would inspire aspiring businesswomen. “Our goal is to create opportunities and motivate women who have yet to start their entrepreneurial journey,” he stated.
In a significant move to foster inclusion, the RCCI has allocated over 15 stalls exclusively for women participants at this year's fest. This allocation specifically targets those running home-based food ventures, offering them a mainstream commercial platform.
Growth and Family Entertainment
Now in its fourth edition, the Pindi Food Fest has seen steady growth, buoyed by overwhelmingly positive feedback from previous events. Recognizing its role as a community event, the organizers have planned more than just food. The festival will also feature a musical evening and a dedicated kids’ carnival, ensuring entertainment for entire families.
The President of RCCI extends a warm invitation to families, food enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs across the region to join this exciting celebration that blends food, culture, and community spirit.
